Dairy-Free Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie - HOLLA BREAKFAST TIME!

Breakfast...it's just one of those tricky things. We wake up in the morning struggling with what we want to eat, and most often, don't bother to eat anything because we can't take it on the go, it can't be made quick enough, or it just doesn't plain sound good. We've all been there. We've all done it: skipped breakfast. Remember in my last blogpost (12 Ways to Become a Morning Person) where I talked about the importance of breakfast? Well here we are again, but this time I want to give you my personal favorite recipe for, yeah, you guessed it: peanut butter banana smoothies! I love this recipe because it's dairy free, something that can often be hard to come by in the dairy-saturated smoothie world. So, let's get started!

For this recipe you will need:
• Peanut butter
• 1 banana
• Almond milk
• Ice
• A blender
• Vanilla (optional)
• Chocolate sauce (also optional)

Okay, so this recipe literally takes five minutes to prepare, because all you do is throw the ingredients in the blender, press a button and WHAM! There you have it: delicious, instant smoothie. This smoothie could probably be split between two people, but honestly I'm a major peanut butter lover and a fatty at heart, so I usually just drink the whole thing by myself. Whether you want to double or triple the recipe for yourself and friends, or just make a normal amount and drink it all yourself, this smoothie really is the best.

Directions:
- 1/4 cup peanut butter (though sometimes I add a little bit more, just for that extra peanut buttery taste)
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk (if you want a thicker smoothie, just leave out some of the almond milk)
- 1 cup ice
- dash of vanilla (once again, this is optional but I do think this helps to maximize the flavor a little bit)
- chocolate sauce (if you have a sweet tooth, you can drizzle some chocolate sauce on the top of your smoothie)

Once you've thrown all your ingredients into the blender, just mix it all up and there you have it, your awesome smoothie! It's easy, it's quick, and who doesn't love something healthy and delicious that you can just take on the road with you on your way to school or work?!
